Why We Advocate
For Us, It’s Personal... And Always Has Been
At Rinvelt & David, advocacy isn’t just a word—it’s the foundation of our firm. Long before we ever used it in a client meeting or put it in writing, we lived it. We’ve walked alongside families during their most vulnerable moments, and we’ve helped them make confident financial decisions in the face of the unknown. That’s not just what we do. It’s why we do it.
Our work is shaped by personal experience, lasting relationships, and the belief that every client deserves more than just a plan—they deserve a partner.
Meet Roger David
From Loss to Lifelong Purpose
Roger David’s journey into financial services began not with spreadsheets or market strategies, but with the sudden passing of his father during college. At just 21, Roger found himself navigating the complexities of estate settlement, tax questions, and financial uncertainty. The one person who stepped up? Rob Rinvelt—a family friend and advisor who helped Roger’s family through it all.
That experience changed the course of Roger’s life. What started as personal loss became lifelong purpose. Today, as co-founder of Rinvelt & David, Roger brings that same clarity, steadiness, and personal care to every client relationship. He’s a planner by trade, but an advocate at heart—someone who never forgets what it feels like to be on the other side of the table.

“They called their family, they called their priest—and then they called us. We’re the third call. That’s when I knew this work meant everything.”
Meet Jacob Rinvelt, CFP®
A Legacy of Care, A Future of Clarity
Jacob Rinvelt grew up around the heart of this firm. As Rob Rinvelt’s son and Roger David’s godson, Jake had a front-row seat to what it meant to truly serve clients. He watched two mentors lead with care, depth, and accountability—and eventually realized that this wasn’t just a career path. It was a calling.
Now a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with nearly a decade of experience, Jake combines next-generation planning tools with a client-first mindset. His role at Rinvelt & David represents both continuity and innovation—ensuring that every financial plan is both personally tailored and technically sound. For Jake, advocacy means taking care of every detail, showing up consistently, and helping clients feel completely supported at every step of their financial journey.

“Growing up around this work showed me that financial planning isn’t just about money—it’s about people. And the best thing we can do is pay attention.”
